We hired bikes again to get around on the Sunday we went for a huge bike ride through the Forrest looking at all the different accommodations you can stay in and just soaking up the sunshine!!
Just some of the tasty treats we had this weekend!! YUM
Our little friends that visited our lodge every day we had 2 ducks 2 geese and 3 squirrels that kept us entertained everyday!!

Hey guys so another little series I’ll be starting is an insight to my week, sometimes itll be in vlog form, some it’ll have snapshots and some like this first one will just be alot of text 🙂
So my week 27th March-2nd April
Work. Work has been a little busy, i had training on Thursday, paperwork to complete through my role as SENCO plussss it’s nearly Easter break which i am SO ready for! We’ve also been getting ready for our Easter party which I’ll be on the last day of term so it’s all go!
My current read this week is How to build a girl by Caitlin Moran! It is super hilarious i have to stop reading because I’m crying through laughter!!
Films I watched this week are
Penelope:Such a way fuzzy feel good film starring an incredibly young James McAvoy 🙂 (available on Netflix)
Split: I promise I haven’t been obsessing over James McAvoy this week…Ok maybe i have! Split was incredible!! McAvoy did an amazing job in this role!
Interview with a serial killer: This had me shook! There is no non bad way to say this but I’m fascinated by serial killers not that i want to replicate them I’m not fascinated as a fan what i mean is I’m fascinated because i simply cannot fathom what goes through their mind like how they can take another person’s life and then do it multiple times and ways like what?!? This was disturbing but good. (Available on Netflix)
Stranger things: As always late to the band wagon but boy am I glad i jumped aboard!!! Countdown to October is officially on!! I just hope series 2 is as good!!
So it was my friends daughter’s 2nd birthday so we went to her teddy bears picnic themed party it was so adorable!!
Then i went to see my grandparents as it’s their 50th wedding anniversary 🙂

Is it even summer yet? – http://wp.me/p5YeJf-zb
(Yay I worked out how to link!!!) I became reminiscent of summers gone by and thought I’d share a little snapshot of the summers 2007-2012 when summer actually meant sun!! 💛🌻🌞
Me and Darren met this year so I was super excited to have a boyfriend to share summer with we went to local music festivals, walked around the local lakes, had crappy disposable bbqs it was the perfect first summer together! I also went to the beach with the family the traditional skegness trip to eat fish and chips paddle in the sea and try and win at 2p machines!!
I got my first tattoo I remember me and my friends went to skegness for the day and we all got a tattoo!! I was still with Darren it was my longest relationship I couldn’t believe my luck! We spent alot of time at my grandparents allotment taking in the views the picture of us on the swings is from a park near my nan and grandad house and again…standard trip to skegness with the family!
My first ever music festival!! We went to abersoch in the welsh valleys for wakefest it peed it down with rain for the whole 3 days but we didn’t care we had lukewarm cider to get us through the picture is of me and my nearest dearest friend we’d been drinking since around 10am its one of my favourite pictures of us! I also revisited a wildlife park that I used to go to when I was little its full of amazing trees and hills that you can climb!!
My grandparents allotment is one of my favourite places its actually like a little paradise!! These photos are from there I mean that view 😍I will always make my baby brother take dorky photos with me haha!!
So someone turned 18 in 2011 hint it wasn’t me!! As you can see we are quite merry in this picture it was his first night out in town haha!!! I also spent alot of time at the seaside I always feel very calm when I’m at the seaside paddling feeling he sand between my toes I think because I’m an earth sign rising in a water sign I feel very comfortable with nature and water sources!
I went on alot and I mean ALOT of road trips in 2012 every weekend we were off on an adventure. Have you ever played the left right game at junctions or perhaps heads or tails?? It really can lead you to some amazing places this is my most favourite place I’ve ever found through that game it has actual castle ruins and the most amazing church that lit up at night!!! Xx
I hope you enjoyed my trip down memory lane please go and look at Alannas blog posts and follow her because she’s fabulous and because I said so 😡(kidding but seriously 😡DO IT)
My amazing husband booked a suprise mini break for us somewhere I have always wanted to go but either couldn’t afford or couldn’t find time to go, that place……is Centre Parcs!! We stayed at the Sherwood Forrest Centre Parcs because Sherwood is a childhood place we both visited and because I am convinced I was a woodland fairy or elf in a past life and therefore feel at home in Forrest’s and surrounded by nature 🌳
Here are a few photos from the visit. I absolutely loved this place! Riding our bikes everywhere waking up to birdsong literally staying in a cabin surrounded by trees, having little creatures join you for food, I really felt at home and we have rebooked for this time next year as there’s so much you can do!!!
The views from our lodge🌳🌲🌿
A beach…..in the middle of the Forrest….but its a beach with real sand…blew my mind! 🏖was such a gorgeous day just look at those views!
Mini Golf and High ropes adventure ⛳🏌
Our little friends! We had a vole that lived right outside the back door, ducks, geese, squirrels, rabbits and of course…pigeons!!! They get everywhere!!! 🐿🐭🐦🐾
Hi 🙂 so another new type of post for me where I give you guys a little insight to my life 🙂 I have been on a bit of a social media cleanse this week allowing myself 15 minutes to catch up on emails and notifications but no browsing through websites wasting half my day on Facebook!!! I have had a mixed bag week I’ve felt so ill up until today when I finally felt a little bit better 🙂 next week I’ll be doing outfit of the day posts in my thrifted series and tomorrow I’ve got my March Favourites post for you all to enjoy 🙂 xx
I visited my parents we had food&watched a movie, before all of this though they wanted to show me a graffiti mural a local artist had done. Near my parents house is a local council underpass that they have permitted local graffiti artists to do their work 🙂 and some of them are amazing!! The pug is the piece they wanted to show me but I took a few snaps of my other Favourites x
Feeling pretty crappy I spent the day playing my Lego game finally completing it to 100%!!! Yes that is Lego hobbit!! I decided to have some down time and started to read a new trilogy of books the first ones called wither I have to say I’m really enjoying it so far!!! X
The worst day I felt crummy 😦 so I decided to curl up and finally finish the last hunger games book! Even though I’ve seen what happens through the movies the book was still hard to read emotionally BUT I didn’t cry!!! Go me!! First book in months that hasn’t made me cry haha!! I then thought why not binge watch all the movies…so I did 🙂
Felt a little better but decided another sofa day was in order 🙂 luckily I’ve had company this week in the form of my fur baby Molly seriously how fricking cute and photo genic is she??!!!! I started watching orange is the new black as so many people have said its good!! I’m 6 episodes in now and think it’s hilarious! I also read a few paragraphs from my What Would Audrey Do book to get some of my sparkle back!!
Today still feeling fragile and crummy but fed up of being housebound for three days I decided to throw on some comfy clothes stick my Spotify on shuffle and go for a walk! Walking is so calming to me like seriously puts things in perspective! How lucky am I to live so close to such natural beauty seriously the lakes by my house are just stunning!!
